Upcoming Citroen Cars in India
Citroen currently offers five car models in India, comprising two hatchbacks and three SUVs. The most affordable option is the Citroen C3, starting at ₹6.16 lakh, while the flagship C5 Aircross sits at the top of the range with a price tag of ₹39.99 lakh. Among the latest additions to the lineup is the Aircross, priced between ₹8.49 lakh and ₹14.55 lakh. For buyers exploring Citroen models under ₹50 lakh, the C3 and Basalt are excellent choices.
A subsidiary of the global Stellantis group—home to brands like Jeep and Maserati—Citroen made its Indian debut in 2021 with the C5 Aircross, a premium midsize SUV. As a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) model, the C5 Aircross is assembled at Citroen’s facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. In September 2022, the SUV received a comprehensive facelift, enhancing both its design and features. Seeking to enter the competitive mainstream market, Citroen launched the C3 hatchback in mid-2022, targeting the sub-₹10 lakh segment. The C3 is a heavily localized model, with around 95% of its components sourced from within India.
To support its expansion, Citroen has been steadily growing its La Maison Citroen dealership network. The brand’s next big move in India is the introduction of the electric variant of the C3 hatchback, promising a greener and more futuristic driving experience.
