Fresh spy shots of the 2026 Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift have surfaced, offering a thrilling glimpse into its revamped front fascia and modernized interior. Building on earlier images that highlighted its redesigned rear, this latest reveal showcases a rugged yet refined SUV drawing inspiration from its bigger sibling, the Thar Roxx. Here’s everything you need to know about the exciting updates:

What’s New in the Thar Facelift?

Modernized Interior Unveiled

For the first time, the Thar’s updated cabin has been captured, retaining its signature all-black, off-road-ready vibe. The dashboard layout stays familiar but now boasts a striking 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from the Thar Roxx.

Sharp-eyed fans will spot analogue dials in the test mule’s instrument cluster, though the production model is likely to feature a vibrant 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Other tweaks include relocating the power window controls from the center console to the front door panel. While this prototype sports manual AC, expect the final version to offer automatic climate control for added comfort. Familiar elements like toggle switches, manual gear lever, and seat upholstery remain largely untouched.

Refreshed Front Design

The Thar facelift’s front end makes its debut with a redesigned grille echoing the 5-door Thar Roxx. The iconic circular headlamps are retained but upgraded to LED projector units with refreshed internals. Earlier spy shots also revealed updated LED tail lamps and stylish new 5-spoke alloy wheels, enhancing its bold stance.

Upgraded Features to Expect

Beyond the larger infotainment screen, the Thar facelift is set to elevate comfort with features like automatic AC and a premium audio system. Existing amenities, including steering-mounted controls, remote keyless entry, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and cruise control, will carry forward.

On the safety front, anticipate up to 6 airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Core safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, hill descent control, and a roll cage will continue to ensure confidence on any terrain.

Powertrain Lineup

While Mahindra remains tight-lipped about the facelifted Thar’s engines, the current model offers these robust options, which are likely to persist:

Launch Timeline, Pricing, and Rivals

Set to hit showrooms in 2026, the Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift is expected to command a premium over the current model, priced between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 17.62 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It will lock horns with the 3-door Force Gurkha while also positioning itself as a compelling alternative to the Mahindra Thar Roxx, Maruti Jimny, and 5-door Force Gurkha.
